My wife and I live in a third floor, attic apartment where we can't have an AC because it would burn the house down, and this fan works wonders on hot summer days. We've had the fan for three years now and just bought a second one a few days ago, so we could have one in the bedroom and the living room. It's really powerful and gets the air circulating much better than even a oscillating fan, I think. Plus, you can't beat the price. As far as it being noisy: High speed is loud, but we rarely if ever have had the need ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2007-07-10 Summary: This fan is cool! ... I have now had this fan for a couple of very hot summer months and I still love it. The fan features 3 speeds, a timer, and a remote control; it also has an adjustable tilt from top to bottom. It is loud and it lacks an oscillating mode, however, these are the ONLY faults I can find with this fan. It is powerful and a very effective and efficient cooler. On high, I can feel it from at least 25 feet. For the money, ($33 at Walmart), I could not find a better fan! ...more

Customer Reviews — [1] Rating: 5 Date: 2009-11-18 Summary: Adequate box fan ... This has proven to be an adequate replacement for our previous fan which we had for at least 8 years. We had no problems setting it up and have been using it for a little over a month. We use it at the top of the stairs to help even out the temperature between the first and second floors in our house. It also provides a little white noise for the kids at night. I actually wish it was just a little louder than it is. ...more
